As Bing Ads previously announced, they have stopped serving ads in the content network on June 30th, 2017, as part of their constant effort to optimize supply and help deliver improved ROI for the advertisers. While the Content Network was deprecated, you advertisers still have content ad groups with content bid settings and content keywords in your accounts. Consequently, Bing Ads needs to delete this data which is no longer relevant in your account. They are taking these steps so your accounts contain active ad groups and keywords that contribute to your advertising efforts and deliver a return on your investment.
After November 30th Bing Ads will update your accounts with the following changes:
- The ad groups that have ad distribution set to both search and content network (default settings) will be migrated to search network only.
- The ad groups that have ad distribution set exclusively to content network, will be deleted. The ads in these ad groups have not been serving in the content network since June 30th, 2017.
- Customers will no longer be able to create or update match-type to content and set content bids in ad group setting.
- Keywords with match type of content will deleted.
If you would like to continue to use these ad groups, you should edit the ad distribution setting of the ad group to search network and ensure that the keywords with content match-type are set to a different match-type. Follow the instructions in your linked help pages if you would like to re-use the content ad groups or the content keywords in their search network.
