Often Domain Administrators need to set policies to protect files from deleting or restoring from a shadow copy. You can configure the group policy to prevent users from accidentally restoring files and folders from the shadow copy.

The policy to set is:
- USER CONFIGURATION > POLICIES > ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES > WINDOWS COMPONENTS > FILE EXPLORER > PREVIOUS VERSIONS
- set Prevent Restoring Remote Previous Versions to ENABLED
- set Hide previous versions list for local files to ENABLED
