Louvre Abu Dhabi is a new cultural beacon, bringing different cultures together to shine fresh light on the shared stories of humanity. It’s the first Louvre museum to open outside Paris.

The iconic museum on Saadiyat Island opened its doors at 10am to the public — though the 1,000 extra tickets released for the opening day were quickly snapped up online, said organisers.

Visitor’s guide to Louvre Abu Dhabi

From Dubai: Drive on the Abu Dhabi-Ghuwaifat highway (E11) towards Abu Dhabi, and take the Abu Dhabi-Al Shahama Road(E10). Then take the exit toward Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway(E12) till you reach the exit towards the museum on Saadiyat Island.

From Abu Dhabi: Access the Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway from Corniche Road, or Hamdan Bin Zayed the First Street, and drive in the outbound direction until you reach the Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island.

Timings:

10am – 8pm
Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday

10am – 10pm
Thursday and Friday

Note: The museum will remain closed on Mondays. Last entry and purchase of tickets is 30 minutes prior to closing.

How To Buy Tickets

Visitors to Louvre Abu Dhabi can buy tickets online in advance by visiting
www.louvreabudhabi.ae or purchase them at the ticket counters in the museum.

Dh60 for adults over the age of 22 years
Dh30 for those aged 13-22
Free entry for children 13 years and younger
Dh30 for education professionals
Free Entry for members of Louvre Abu Dhabi’s Art Club loyalty programme, journalists, visitors with special needs and their companions, members of the International Council of Museums, and members of the International Council on Monuments and Sites.

Louvre Abu Dhabi has its own restaurant as well as a separate museum cafe.
